Editorial policy

A profile always shows a single value: one date of birth, one height. We never print ranges or "sources differ". When sources disagree, we research which one is right. If that is impossible, we show the value that makes the person younger, shorter and lighter. If no value is reliable, the field is not shown at all.

We publish a profile only when a reliable source confirms the person was at least 18 when their professional work began. If there is any doubt, there is no profile. Reports of a possible minor are acted on immediately: the profile is hidden first and reviewed afterwards.

We use only photos with a known licence: free licences such as Creative Commons, or material supplied by the person or their agency. Every photo is checked for nudity and suggestive content before it is published, and checked to show the right person. Authors and licences are credited on each profile.

Short introductions and answers on profiles are generated from the verified data by fixed templates. They never add facts that are not in our data. Biographies are written and checked by editors.

Ratings come from visitors, one vote per browser per profile. Rankings use a weighted average so a few votes cannot push a profile to the top, and views exclude known bots. No one can pay for a position. Details: terms of use.

Found an error? Report it with a source if you have one. We review corrections within 72 hours and change the "Last updated" date of the profile. We also re-check active profiles regularly, and official links are checked automatically.
